Group Support

At our core, we all depend on one another. People need people, especially in times of pain. We believe that true healing happens when we feel supported and don't have to face our struggles alone.

There is something powerful about coming together—sharing our stories, our grief, and our hope—in a space where we’re seen, heard, and supported. That’s why we offer two types of support groups: safe places where healing begins in the presence of others who truly understand.

Moms group.

Following a heartbreaking tragedy in 2024 involving gang-impacted youth—an event that claimed the life of a young man and left a mother grieving the loss of her son—we felt a deep calling to give back to the community in a meaningful way.

In response, we launched a support group specifically for mothers whose children have been affected by gang involvement. This group meets bi-weekly and is open to any mother experiencing isolation, shame, or simply seeking connection and support.

Each gathering includes complimentary childcare, dinner, dessert, and flowers as a gesture of care and appreciation. A bilingual Spanish-English translator is present at every meeting to facilitate inclusive communication among all participants.

Below is the mission statement created by the mothers themselves:

“We are a community of mothers united by the love for our children and the challenges we face. In our space, we embrace each other with open arms, creating a sanctuary where vulnerability is met with compassion. Here, we find safety to share our deepest wounds, to seek the help we need, and to heal together. We honor the different stages of our journeys, understanding that while we may be in different places, we move forward as one. With empathy and acceptance, we build a space where every mother feels valued, supported, and ready to embrace hope and healing.

Dads group.

After nearly two decades of working with youth in both the juvenile justice system and the broader community, one truth has become undeniably clear: there is a critical need for present, engaged, and positive father figures in our communities. Far too many young people are growing up without a consistent and supportive male role model in the home.

In response to this need, we launched a fatherhood group designed to bridge that gap. The purpose of the group is to connect young or soon-to-be fathers with experienced, committed fathers—men who are married to the mothers of their children, actively involved in their children's lives, and who have demonstrated a long-standing commitment not only to their own families but to the well-being of youth in the community as a whole.

This group meets bi-weekly and provides a safe, supportive environment for learning, sharing, and growth. Dinner and childcare are offered at no cost to participants, ensuring accessibility for all who wish to attend.
